Why We Chose to Suspend Nationwide Cupcake Deliveries
Remember in Austin Powers where he says, “Danger is my middle name?” Well, we like to think that “excellence” is our middle name. We give strict attention to detail and do our best to make our products with love, with care, and with excellence. From day one, it has defined who we want to be and what we want to be about in business. We don’t just want to “make cupcakes”. We want to create a flavor experience like none other.
We love the interactions with our guests. We love knowing that when they open their box, they are going to see the care and attention we have put into making their order special, just for them. And while we don’t have the benefit of a face-to-face interaction with our Nationwide shipping clients, it has always been our hope that they have the same quality of experience that we would give to them in our store.
We are sad to say that recently, some of our shipping orders have not made it to their destination in a timely nor quality manner. Shipping costs are quite expensive, and our guests have a right to expect a level of service consistent with the premium price they paid for that shipping. Simply, they should expect that their cupcakes will arrive fresh, delicious, and on time. Some circumstances have been out of our control, but we are taking steps to find out how we can improve our shipping processes. We are going back to the drawing board, so to speak, and working out what we can do to improve on our end, so that even if packages go through being knocked around or put through extra rigorous conditions on their cross-country commute, they can still arrive well. We’re working on it.
As a result of all of this, we are suspending our Nationwide shipping until further notice. At this point, we don’t know when it will be coming back, if at all. It really does depend upon what we find out with our shipping carrier and our processes within. We thank you for understanding and supporting our pursuit of an excellent product and an excellent experience for each of our guests.
With blessings and gratitude,
Melissa and the Cupcake Ninjas
P.S. This whole drone shipping thing. . .ya think Amazon might be onto something?
