Perfectly Imperfect? Memories Are Still Being Made.

Well, here we are! Another school year at its end, and summer upon us. As the seasons turn, I want to acknowledge the bittersweet feelings that sometimes accompany this (and any!) transition.

The whirlwind of end-of-year events coupled with the desire for everything to be "Pinterest-perfect," can leave us feeling, well, a little burned out.

Maybe a little deflated. Maybe a tad bit EXHAUSTED.

But, I want you to remember: the magic of summer truly lies in the perfectly imperfect moments we share with our loved ones. The lake-swimming trip that turns into forever pictures of the kids in the water taking a mud bath. The grilled chicken supper that turns into a memory of “remember when Dad started the grill on fire and we had to get the fire extinguisher?”

Whether it's messy crafts that look like they could be on an episode of Nailed It, impromptu and informal picnics, or silly-string adventures, these are the memories that truly matter.

So, as we close one chapter (school) and step into summer, let's embrace the joy of creating those memories with kiddos, grandkids, or neighbor kids, knowing that it's the love and laughter we share that make these moments truly special.
